Evaluates if the company is in adherence to regulatory guidelines, standards, laws, policies/ procedures. Compliance audits are conducted as a statutory or legal requirements. While the audit is done for regulatory purposes, the objectives are still to ensure adequate control over the internal process which should be done regularly.
